Is your service available in my area?

Our service is available throughout French-speaking Switzerland. If you live in a particularly hard-to-reach location, please contact us in advance so we can better assist you.

What’s included in a standard service?

Our hourly tarif includes all services available in our platform, as long as the time booked is sufficient, excluding for guaranteed move out cleanings.

Our maids are trained to make your house as welcoming and warm as a 5 star hotel suite. Without specific instructions, our maids will give you everything you need to have a sparkling home.

When booking, you can also add some extra services:

How much will a MénageSimple’s service cost ?

No hidden or unclear fees! The rates on our booking page reflect the final price and include our placement and trust services.

Do you bring your own cleaning equipment, or do you use mine?

Each cleaner registered with MénageSimple will bring their own equipment. However, your cleaner will ask to use your vacuum cleaner, bucket/mop, and iron. You can request your cleaner to bring their own vacuum cleaner for an additional fee of CHF 25.

Can I order some extra services?

Can I request extras?
You can add extras at any time (even directly with the cleaner) according to your needs.

While you relax, your cleaner can:

  • Do the laundry
  • Clean the oven
  • Clean the fridge
  • Do ironing
  • Clean the windows
  • Clean inside cabinets/closets

Do you use green products?

If you select the eco-friendly products extra, your cleaner will use products that are not only eco-friendly but also largely natural.

Do I need to be home during the appointment?

There’s no need for you to be home during the cleaning.

The purpose of our service is to relieve you of household and administrative tasks and give you more time to focus on what truly matters. You can leave the keys wherever is most convenient for you and simply inform our support team or your cleaner.

However, it’s always helpful if you can meet the cleaner we place in your home to discuss your expectations and needs.

How can I request a specific cleaner?

If you’ve already had cleanings and particularly appreciated the cleaner we placed with you, feel free to contact us to arrange a recurring service! We will inform you of their availability and do our best to meet your request.

If you have an ongoing recurring booking and need to reschedule a cleaning, you can now choose to view all available times or display only the availability of your regular cleaner.

Trust and Security

Can I trust you?

At MénageSimple, security is a top priority. We rigorously select each cleaner: before being offered to an employer, a cleaner must go through a series of interviews and meticulous training. We only select experienced cleaners with references and a clean criminal record.

At the end of this process, less than 5% of applications are accepted.

You’re fully protected: we have liability insurance with AXA covering any damage up to CHF 10 million.

The information you provide on our site is encrypted at 256-bit and protected by a highly secure VPN infrastructure.

What if I don’t like your cleaning ?

The day after each cleaning, you’ll receive an email asking for your feedback. This feedback will be shared with your cleaner, who can improve on any areas you weren’t satisfied with for the next service.

If you’re truly dissatisfied with the service and would like us to provide a different cleaner, that is absolutely possible!

Our customer service is available Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM.

Are my personal information (address, credit card, etc.) protected?

Our infrastructure has three different levels of security.

First, our “Book Now” page is protected by an “Extended Validation SSL,” constantly monitored by the IT engineers of Launch27 and Stripe.

Secondly, our booking form has its own 256-bit security layer. Thirdly, credit card transactions are processed through Stripe with its 256-bit security layer.

The security of information is very important to us. All other information you provide on menagesimple.com is encrypted at 256-bit and protected by a VPN infrastructure.

Being able to browse the internet securely is very important; that’s why we invest substantial resources to ensure the highest level of security possible.

What happens after booking?

After receiving a confirmation email from us, you just need to sign a Management Mandate. This mandate states that, as the employer of your cleaner selected by MénageSimple, you authorize MénageSimple SA to facilitate trust services, including the registration of your employee with the AVS, the payment of social insurance and their salary, and the issuance of monthly salary statements and annual salary certificates. This trust service is included in the price displayed online. The mandate can be revoked at any time, so no worries.

Finally, at the agreed date and time, your trusted and carefully selected cleaning professional will arrive at your home to perform a quality cleaning tailored to your needs. In other words, enjoy your free time with complete peace of mind!

What does MénageSimple do to register and insure my cleaning employee?

On behalf of the client and with their authorization, MénageSimple saves them considerable time. The client, as the employer, has certain legal obligations that MénageSimple can handle.

  • Legal registration with the AVS fund and affiliation of your employee
  • Simplification of salary payments made by the client through their MénageSimple account
  • Facilitation of all AVS/AI/APG social security contributions, based on hours worked
  • Facilitation of source tax payments
  • Facilitation and negotiation of accident insurance (LAA) payments with Allianz
  • Issuance of documents such as monthly salary statements, annual salary certificates for the employee, and an annual summary for the employer
  • Issuance of an employment contract on request between the client and the domestic employee

By booking a household employee selected by MénageSimple, you not only save time in selection and paperwork related to recruitment but also benefit from savings on LAA accident insurance premiums negotiated with Allianz (hourly premiums negotiated instead of a fixed annual amount).

What should I do if an item is damaged?

If your cleaner accidentally breaks something, they will inform you (and us) to provide a solution.

However, if you notice damage that was not reported by the cleaner, it’s possible they may have broken something without realizing it. Contact us and send photos of the item in question, and we will work on a solution.

If you believe certain items are more fragile than others, feel free to inform your cleaner or mention it in the comments section.

MénageSimple services are covered by AXA liability insurance, which covers any damage up to CHF 10 million.

How can I create an account?

Your MénageSimple account is created automatically after your first booking. To create a MénageSimple account without booking, sign up by clicking here.

How can I login into my account?

Simply log in here.

How can I cancel my request for a recurring cleaning?

To permanently cancel your cleaning service or temporarily suspend it, please log into your account.
Click on “Manage My Service,” then, in the right sidebar, check the “Cancel/Suspend” option and enter the end/suspension date of the service. Don’t forget to confirm your request by clicking “Confirm Request.”

How can I change the credit card associated with my account?

Please first log into your account.
Go to the settings by clicking the downward arrow next to your name at the top right of the window. In the “Payment Details” section, you can add or update the credit card associated with your account.

Will I have the same cleaner for every appointment?

If you choose a recurring booking (every week, every other week, every month), it will indeed be the same cleaner each time—unless they are sick or on vacation.

For a one-time cleaning booking, our system will find a qualified and available cleaner in your area for your selected time.

When will my credit card be charged?

Credit card payment occurs in two stages:

  • Hold or pre-authorization: 5 days before your scheduled cleaning, the amount will be temporarily held on your card to ensure fund availability.
  • Full charge: The full amount will be charged the night following the completion of your cleaning.

Can I cancel my appointment ?

You can cancel free of charge up to 48 hours before the cleaning. If you exceed the 48-hour deadline, 90% of the service fee will be charged.

Can I cancel or change my recurring cleaning?

You can modify your recurring cleaning at any time. For example, you can switch from a booking based on apartment size to an hourly rate booking; just give us 48 hours’ notice.

Canceling a cleaning is very simple—just click the “Skip a Cleaning” button from your account.

What is included in our move-out service?

Our placement service can connect you with one (or typically two) qualified cleaners to perform move-out cleaning services. You can take advantage of the move-out service and its guarantees if your apartment is empty (unfurnished) at the time of the cleaning and has been maintained within the last 30 days. If either of these conditions is not met, we can provide a personalized quote based on photos.

We offer a detailed 180+ point checklist that meets the standards of the most demanding property managers and landlords.

The cleaners bring their own equipment and cleaning supplies: vacuum, broom, mop, etc.

MénageSimple offers a 200% satisfaction guarantee: if the property manager disputes any aspect of the cleaning, you receive a second cleaning free of charge. If cleaning fees are still charged by the property manager after the second intervention, they are covered by MénageSimple.

If your oven has not been maintained for several weeks/months, we ask that you apply a cleaning foam (which needs 24 hours to take effect) before the service, so that our cleaners do not have to use steel sponges, which could damage the oven.

We do not provide the following services:

  • Wall cleaning (this can damage the paint more than the dirt)
  • Floor sanding (this requires specialized equipment)

Qui est l’employeur des aide de ménage sélectionnées par MénageSimple ?

MénageSimple’s clients are the employers. The platform selects qualified and available cleaning staff in your area, using high standards, and additionally offers a trust service to its clients for declaring their employees. Through a Management Mandate, we facilitate the registration of your new employee with the AVS (Swiss social security), as well as the payment of salary, taxes, and all social contributions related to the work done at your home by your cleaning employee. The trust service also includes the preparation of monthly salary statements, annual salary certificates, and a report for employers.

This means you no longer have paperwork to manage, and your cleaning employee is registered and legally insured.

MénageSimple SA simply requires its clients to sign this Management Mandate as soon as possible, authorizing us to provide this trust service, which is a valuable time-saver for private household employers.

This service is included in the price displayed online when you make your booking.

 

Are the cleaners insured?

Yes, accident insurance is covered by Allianz, and liability insurance is covered by AXA.

Do I need to have my own cleaning products at home?

No, your cleaner will bring all the necessary supplies. They will only ask to borrow your vacuum cleaner, bucket/mop, and iron if needed.

If you’ve booked an end-of-lease service, the vacuum cleaner will be included free of charge.

Can I book cleanings for my Airbnb apartment?

Do you rent your property through Airbnb? MénageSimple fully caters to the specific needs of this activity.

Our terms are the same as for your other bookings:

  • We offer full flexibility to cancel or modify your cleaning bookings free of charge up to 48 hours in advance, directly from your MénageSimple account.
  • You can include detailed notes in your booking comments to ensure the service is done correctly, even if there is a change in cleaner.
  • You benefit from the same rate as your regular bookings, otherwise known as the “one-time” rate.

As our service does not include concierge or rental management services, we cannot assume responsibility for handing over your keys to your guests.
